8:00 AM - ZYDECO BREAKFAST - Cafe' Des Amis - 140 East Bridge Street, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517 (337) 332-5273 - There's no better way to start your weekend than to experience a Zydeco Breakfast at Cafe' Des Amis, a cultural blending of food, music and historic preservation. The breakfast menu features specialties that rival even the best brunch restaurants of New Orleans. The music begins at 8:30, but be sure to arrive early!

10:00 AM - McGEE'S ATCHAFALAYA BASIN SWAMP TOURS - 1337 Henderson Levee Road, Henderson, LA 70517 (337) 228-2384 - McGee's is a "must-see" for visitors to Cajun Country offering swamp tours, airboat tours and floating guest cabins. There's a restaurant and marina, full service bar and deck with live music on weekends. Your tour guide will share a personal experience of what it's like to live on a house boat or stilt house and enjoy a way of life unique to this area.

12:00 Noon - LUNCH - DWYER'S CAFE - 323 Jefferson Street, Lafayette, LA 70501 (337) 235-9364 - Dwyer's Cafe is a place where friends and family gather to visit, eat and visit some more. The crawfish ettouffe is a must, although the hamburger steak with grilled onions and gravy is hard to pass up. No matter what you're selection, you'll delight in the choice.

1:00 PM - CAJUN JAM - VERMILIONVILLE - 300 Fisher Road, Lafayette, LA 70508 (337) 233-4077 - Vermilionville authentically portrays a way of life preserved with a distinctly French accent.  Situated on the banks of the Bayou Vermilion, this Cajun/Creole heritage and folklife park recreates life in the Acadiana area between 1765 and 1890.   The beautiful grounds, which are laid out as an historic village, contain eighteen structures, including six restored original homes.  In most of the structures, costumed interpreters demonstrate traditional crafts or musical styles. Bring your instrument or just enjoy the musical interaction. Held every Saturday at Vermilionville! Come enjoy this welcoming and creative environment.

2:00 PM - DOWNTOWN SHOPPING - Downtown Lafayette is filled with unique shops and specialty services to delight any taste or palette. With such a variety to choose from, it's difficult to know where to begin. From original art to shops of clothing, furniture and gifts, it's easy to make a day of shopping here. Enjoy the casual atmosphere as you walk from place to place while taking in the beautiful streetscape.
