Festival International de Louisiane is 25 years old and commemorating its Silver Anniversary, April 27-May 1, 2011. This FREE family event is celebrating the French cultural heritage of southern Louisiana with music, arts, culture, food and heritage!

Festival International de Louisiane is not just about about music, it's also about SHOPPING! Clothing, jewelry, handcrafted pottery and other goodies may be discovered in the Marché des Arts and Marché du Monde areas of the festival. And don't neglect your taste buds. Be sure to satisfy your palette with treats and beverages from one of the many food vendors.

The Marché des Arts is located near the LUS Pavillon de Cuisine near Jefferson Street. Skilled craftsmen and fine artists from Louisiana and elsewhere will display their handcrafted pottery, jewelry, sculptures, and many other unique and wonderful creations!

The Marché du Monde is located near Scène TV5MONDE. Here you can browse through a huge assortment of domestic and imported treasures: sculptures, art, clothing, jewelry, ceramics, paintings, photography, baskets, instruments and more!

While you're enjoying this year's festival, don't forget to treat yourself to the many refreshing beverages and delicious cuisines being served up. The variety is sure to please any age and any palette: vegetarian, seafood and carnivore's will delight in the selections offered!

Ample parking is available at the University of Louisiana Cajun Field, located at the corner of Congress and Cajundome Boulevard. A FREE shuttle service operates every 15 minutes:

  • THURSDAY 5:30pm - 11:30pm  / LAST shuttle leaves downtown at 11:30pm
  • FRIDAY 5:30pm - 11:30pm  / LAST shuttle leaves downtown at 11:30pm
  • SATURDAY 10:30am - Midnight  / LAST shuttle leaves downtown at Midnight
  • SUNDAY 10:30am - 8:00pm / LAST shuttle leaves downtown at 8:00pm

Location & Directions:

             From The East:

  1. West on I-10 to exit 103a. Turn south on US 167 South (a.k.a. The Evangeline Thruway or US 90 South).
  2. Continue south on US 167 (Evangeline Thruway, US 90) for 2 miles(7 traffic lights).
  3. Turn right on Jefferson Street for .3 miles.

             From The West:

  1. East on I-10 to exit 103a. Turn south on US 167 South (a.k.a. The Evangeline Thruway or US 90 South).
  2. Continue south on US 167 (Evangeline Thruway, US 90) for 2 miles (7 traffic lights).
  3. Turn right on Jefferson Street for .3 miles.
   From The North:
  1. South on I-49, at junction of I-10, I-49 becomes US 167 South (a.k.a. The Evangeline Thruway or US 90 South).
  2. Continue south on US 167 (Evangeline Thruway, US 90) for 2 miles (7 traffic lights).
  3. Turn right on Jefferson Street for .3 miles.


             From The South:

  1. North on US 167 (from the Abbeville area) to Lafayette.
  2. Turn left on Jefferson St. for .5 miles.
